Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Test: University sets up waiting areas, help desks on campus for candidates and parents

Parents and guardians praise arrangements by Jamia at waiting areas set up for entrance tests season

Entrance tests for admission to various courses in Jamia Millia Islamia are going on from the last week of May 2019. Jamia Millia Islamia has set up waiting areas and help desks for the candidates and their parents/guardians.

Waiting area for parents/guardians have been created at various places in the university with chairs to sit, free drinking water, pedestal fans to beat the scorching heat. A refreshment counters have been setup at waiting areas where snacks and other food items are available.

More than 50 volunteers of National Service Scheme (NSS) are available at these help desks to address queries raised by students and their parents. Volunteers are helping candidates in various ways like guiding them to various entrance test centres, pasting photograph on admit card, free printout if candidate forget to bring admit card, photo printout, first aid, assistance to physically challenged candidates etc, said the university in a statement.

An ambulance with a pharmacist of Dr. M.A.Ansari Health Centre, Jamia, is available during the period of the entrance tests at the Control Room of the Security Office to help the students and their parents/guardians in case of any health emergency considering the heat wave.

Entrance tests for admission to various courses in Jamia Millia Islamia are going on from the last week of May 2019. Jamia Millia Islamia has set up waiting areas and help desks for the candidates and their parents/guardians.

Parents and guardians are very happy with these arrangements and they are registering their feedback in the register kept at these help desks.

The help desk is functioning under the guidance of Prof. N U Khan, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Programme Coordinator, NSS. Programme Officers of NSS Dr. Abid Hussain and Viqar Hussain Siddiqui are supervising the arrangements.
