JEE Main 2021 exam tomorrow: Check dress code, COVID guidelines issued by NTA

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct JEE Main 2021 exam from tomorrow, February 23. Along with the release of the JEE Main 2021 February admit card.

NTA has also issued several guidelines that have to be followed by the candidates on the exam day. It is mandatory for each applicant to adhere to all the JEE Main 2021 exam day guidelines, including instructions on what and what not to wear.

JEE Main Dress Code 2021: What and what not to wear

Though, the NTA has not issued any specific JEE Main 2021 dress code, but, candidates are not allowed to wear cap, thick sole footwear and metallic items. Students are required to dress up as per the instructions issued by the NTA officials and also in a way to protect themselves against the spread of coronavirus.

JEE Main 2021: Dress Code

Shoes/ footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons will not be permitted inside the JEE Main 2021 exam centre.

If religion/ customs require candidates to wear specific attire then, they are advised to report at the JEE Main 2021 exam centre early for thorough checking and mandatory frisking.

Students should wear masks and gloves all the time inside and outside the exam centre. The NTA will provide a fresh 2 ply mask to each candidate.

Since students will not be allowed to carry any metallic item inside the exam centre, wearing any kind of jewellery or ornaments should be avoided.

JEE Main 2021: Things to carry to the exam centre

Candidates will be permitted to carry the following items

JEE Main 2021 admit card

Duly filled self-declaration/ undertaking.

A transparent ballpoint pen.

Spare photograph of candidate (to be pasted on attendance sheet)

Hand sanitizer (50 ml).

Transparent water bottle.

The NTA has also issued an advisory regarding COVID-19 along with the release of the JEE Main admit card 2021. Since over 21 lakh students have registered for JEE Main 2021 exam with around 6.6 lakh for the February session, the JEE Main 2021 guidelines are issued keeping the on -going
