The National Testing Agency announce the result for JEE Main (April) 2021 on August 6. The JEE Main 2021 session 3 was successfully conducted on July 20, 22, 25, and 27. Candidates who have applied to appear for JEE Main Session 3 can check the results through the websites – nta.ac.in, ntaresults.nic.in, jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

The agency released the final answer key for JEE Main 2021 on August 5. The experts predict that due to the overall difficulty level, the cut-off for JEE Main will be above 90 per cent. The cut-off is being prepared considering various factors that affect the exam — the total number of aspirants who appeared, the number of available seats, the difficulty level of the exam, previous year cut-off trends.

Over 7 lakh students had registered for the JEE Mains session 3 this year. Along with the JEE Main result, NTA will also declare the cut-off and release the scorecard. It is to be noted that the JEE Main cut-off mark is the last rank for which admission to the engineering institutes will be made. Candidates should keep checking the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in – for result related announcement.

Meanwhile, the JEE Main 2021 candidates can check the provisional answer key for the JEE Main 2021 April session or session 3 exams on the NTA’s official website.

How to check JEE Mains result after it is announced:

Step 1: Visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in

Step 2: To see the results, click on the tab.

Step 3: Enter your application number, password, or date of birth to log in.

Step 4: Download your JEE Main 2021 scorecard and result.

How JEE Main 2021 rank list will be prepared

The authorities will prepare the JEE Main rank list 2021 based on the scores obtained by candidates in different sessions. It should be noted that the best NTA scores of candidates in all the JEE Main 2021 sessions will be considered for preparing the rank list. Thus, the NTA will check the JEE Main result 2021 of all the sessions of a candidate and will consider the best result to prepare the rank list.

If a candidate has appeared in only one session of JEE Main 2021 then his/her rank will be based on the performance in that session.

A candidate having a high NTA score in Mathematics in JEE Main result 2021 will be given preference.

If still a tie persists, NTA score in Physics in JEE Main 2021 result will be taken into account. If tie still continues, NTA score of Chemistry will be considered.

If a tie still persists, the authorities will consider age to allot a rank.

Finally, if the tie still happens, the concerned candidates will be given the same JEE Main 2021 rank.

JEE Main 2021 counselling and seat allotment

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of JEE Main 2021 rank list will be eligible for JEE Main counselling 2021 process. It should be noted that the JEE Main 2021 counselling will be conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Eligible and interested candidates will be required to complete JoSAA registration as per the schedule and fill in their preferred choices to be considered for final admission.

Rechecking/reevaluation of JEE Main results

Candidates who appeared for the JEE Main 2021 exam must note that there will be no re-evaluation/re-checking of result and hence no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
