JEE Main 2021: Students ask for the postponement of exam, trends #CancelJEEMainExam

Rising COVID-19 cases in India have led to the demand for postponement of  JEE Main 2021 April session. Students took to social media and trended hashtags like #postponejee2021 and #canceljeemains. JEE Main 2021 for the April session is scheduled to be conducted from April 27 to 30 in online mode.

Notably, 2021 JEE Main is being held in 4 sessions which are from February 23 to 26(Session 1), March 15 to 18(session 2), April 27 to 30 (Session 3), and May 24 to 28 (Session 4). This will be the third session of the JEE Exam in 2021.

Till now the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the exam, has not given any indication that it is even considering a postponement of JEE Main 2021 exam. But the announcement of the cancellation of CBSE Board exams and postponement of Class 12 exams has given JEE candidates some hope.

One JEE Main 2021 aspirant said that many students appearing for the JEE Main exam will have to travel for around 100 kms which increases the risk of COVID-19 infection.

According to students who appeared in JEE Main 2021 held in February and March sessions, all COVID-19 guidelines issued by the NTA were followed at the exam centres.
