Chief Minister Hemant Soren is expanding his cabinet on Tuesday, with as many as seven new ministers set to be inducted into the council of ministers.

The swearing-in ceremony of the new ministers is scheduled to be held at 4 PM at the Raj Bhavan in Jharkhand’s capital city of Ranchi. Governor Draupadi Murmu will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the ministers.

Chairmanship of Champai Soren, Joba Manjhi, Haji Hussain Ansari, Jagranath Mahto and Mithilesh Thakur from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Will be taking oath. From the Congress, Banna Gupta and Badal Patralekh are being included in the Hemant cabinet as ministers.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Hemant Soren was sworn in as the 11th Chief Minister of Jharkhand on 29 December 2019. The JMM, Congress and RJD’s grand alliance won a big victory in the Jharkhand assembly elections. In the 81-member assembly, where the grand alliance won more than 47 seats, the ruling BJP had to be satisfied with only 25 seats.
