Birsa Munda’s statue situated near Dhanbad’ Ray Talkies was found vandalised. The JMM worker passing through the area informed the senior leaders of the statue’s condition.
The JMM workers rushed to the spot and took note of the situation. the workers said action must be taken against such anti-social elements.
JMM activists said that anti-social elements have deliberately attacked the statue of Lord Birsa Munda.
They added that district administration should take strict action against such anti-social elements, otherwise JMM will be forced to agitate and that the administration must ensure the safety of statues of great men.
JMM activist JP Walia said that within 3 days the administration should repair the damaged statue and take action against the culprits.
