Jharkhand Mukti Morcha vice president, Shankar Ravani and his wife Balika Devi was shot dead at their residence on Saturday night. The president and her wife were stabbed with a sharp weapon. Moreover, both of them were shot at the head.
“The incident took place on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday and the bodies were recovered this morning. Bullet injuries and stabbing wounds were noticed on bodies. The criminals locked the doors from outside while fleeing after committing the crime, SSP Minz said, ANI reported.
As soon as the incident was reported, Sudamdih police rushed to the spot and started investigating the case. Besides, City SP R Ram Kumar, Sindri DSP Ajit Kumar Sinha, additional police from Jorapokhar, Patherdih, Bhaura, and district also reached the spot.
According to the reports, Shankar Ravani’s cousin Dhiren Ravani was also murdered three years ago. After Dhiren’s murder, Shankar’s son Kunal was also beaten to death. A family feud has been suspected by the police.
Police have recovered a blood-stained knife and three blank guns from the murder spot.
