As per the latest reports, Jharkhand’s Minority Welfare Minister Haji Hussain Ansari died recently due to COVID-19. He was admitted to the Medanta Hospital in Ranchi a few days back. Haji Hussain Ansari was the stalwart leader of JMM and was elected several times from Madhupur assembly constituency in Deoghar district. Haji Hussain Ansari was very close to JMM supremo Shibu Soren.
Just after the news of the minister broke, Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam, Drinking Water Sanitation Minister Mithilesh Thakur, Health Minister Banna Gupta, JMM Central General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya among others expressed condolences.
Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta expressed condolences by tweeting. In the tweet, Banna Gupta wrote “The death of Jharkhand’s Minority Welfare Minister Haji Hussain Ansari is an irreparable loss for Jharkhand and me, this tragic incident has shaken hearts, may God rest his soul and his family And give the well-wishers the courage to suffer.”
On Friday, Haji’s report came negative. Son of Minister Haji Hussain Ansari said that he was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Ranchi for treatment on 23 September after being found corona positive. He told that his father had recovered completely and yesterday his test report came negative but today at around three and a half, the doctors reported his death.
As per reports, the late Haji Hussain had a heart surgery a few years ago. Haji Hussain Ansari, who started politics from the Congress, joined the JMM in the 1990s and was recognized as a strong leader of the JMM. He was elected seven times from Madhupur assembly constituency in Deoghar district. Haji Hussain Ansari was very close to JMM supremo Shibu Soren. He has also been a minister four times.
