Bollywood actor Salman Khan who is currently shooting for the third sequence of Dabang, seems to be in legal trouble after a case was filed against him at the DN Nagar Police station in Mumbai, for allegedly snatching away a phone of a journalist who was reported filming Salman Khan while the actor was cycling on Linking Road.
Going by the reports, a cross-application has also been submitted by the actor’s bodyguard against the videographer stating that he was following the actor trying to shoot a video without his consent.
The incident happened on Wednesday when Salman was on his way to Yash Raj Studios to shoot a few promotional videos for his upcoming movie Bharat. Salman decided to cycle to the studios while his security team followed him.
On Linking Road, complainant Ashok Shyamlal Pandey tried to shoot his video. But the actor didn’t want him to and ended up snatching his phone.
However, the Pandey claimed that he had taken permission from his body gourds for filming the actor. Ina two page complaint, Panday said, “We asked his bodyguard for permission to shoot a video to which they agreed without any objection. While shooting, Salman Khan instructed his bodyguards and they jumped approached our vehicle and pushed my colleague who was filming Salman Khan on his cellphone. Followed by this, Salman Khan came and snatched our cellphones even after I informed him that I am a journalist.”
‘We were about to dial 100, the helpline number, to inform the police about the matter but he returned our cell phones.’ the letter further stated. The local journalist in his letter also requested the police to take action against the Bollywood star and his body guard for misbehaving.
On the professional front, Salman Khan will be next seen in Ali Abbas Zafar directorial ‘Bharat’, starring alongside Katrina Kaif. The trailer of the film was recently released. The superstar is currently shooting in Mumbai for ‘Dabangg 3’ after the team wrapped up the first schedule of the shoot in Madhya Pradesh.
