Patwa are involved in selling decorative articles like earrings and necklaces. As the demand for the work has declined people are changing their profession. Here we bring you a story from Kala Dera, Rajasthan where only 3 families are left working as Patwa.
Mr Vishnu Kumar Patwa told Newsd about the ancestral occupation. He said, “Earlier the jewellery was made out of silver and gold but today the rates for those are high not everyone can afford it, nowadays they are made in other metals, so that everyone can buy and use it.”
