As a kid, Kanishka was always fascinated by various home-remedies that her mother used to prepare for the skin and the hair. Home remedies were her mother’s go-to for skin troubles. As they say, the apple doesn’t fall very far from the tree, her own passion for beauty and self-care continues to play an essential role in her daily life, including her travels.
She is extremely grateful to God and her family for giving her the opportunity to travel and study abroad, broadening her horizons in turn. Departmental stores abroad always fascinated her with their wide variety of cosmetics and products for personal care. Small things like hair bands filled her with joy.
She graduated from Parsons Paris in 2012, in Design and Management which, in turn, opened up several doors of opportunities for her, ranging from Product Styling, Creative Styling, Brand Management, and so on. She always had an eye for fashion and product styling and it brought her closer to her goals. She was also extremely passionate about art. whilst at Parsons, she was lucky enough to work with some renowned designers from the fashion fraternity, including Oscar De La Renta, Alexander Wang and for the Biotherm project for L’Oreal.
Over the years, she has come to the realization that styling is something that comes very naturally to her. She has always been inclined towards creating the perfect image, which inculcates good photography, art direction and the right balance between work and the surrounding. She strongly believes that while fashion trends change year after year; styling is that one constant that differentiates these trends.
As a professional Fashion Stylist, she aimed at offering a personalized experience to her clients. Styling comes in handy, especially in times of transition. For instance, when one is graduating from college, dating, entering a workplace and so on; styling plays an important role. She takes into account the physical attributes, the lifestyle and the personal preferences of her clients to develop a signature look.
After her time as a freelance stylist and dwelling into shoe making, she realized that she must stick to what she’s passionate about and that was beauty and personal care. Before the inception of Dromen&Co, she planned to make all-natural, travel-friendly, & easy to use remedies. Therefore, after an extensive research in Japan, China and India, her products were born.
She endeavors to make travel-friendly and self-healing products that benefit the body, internally as well as externally. These products are essentially the blessings in a fast-paced world like ours. She is a firm believer of the phrase “Your skin, your rules”. She says, “Pamper your skin, suitably.”
