Karan Johar’s much-awaited period-saga, ‘Takht’ is reported to go on floor in March. It is said to be Karan Johar’s most expensive film of Dharma Productions.
The fans are eagerly waiting for updates on the working of the film and Karan Johar has finally teased the fans with the first look of the film which opens with dialogue.
Karan Johar took to twitter and announced the film. In a tweet, he wrote, “Presenting #TAKHT directed by Karan Johar. Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar & Apoorva Mehta. Karan’s Takht has been described as the “epic battle for the majestic Mughal throne”. It’s a tale of two warring brothers, based on the fight for the throne between Shah Jahan’s two sons, Aurangzeb and Dara Shukoh played by Superstar Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal.
The film also features Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in pivotal roles, with Anil Kapoor as the Mughal patriarch, Shah Jahan.
The film will release on Christmas, 24 December 2021.
