Don Bosco school principal Father Mahesh D’Souza died by hanging himself to the ceiling fan in the school cabin. The incident happened on Friday night in Shirva, Udupi.
The police investigating the case have stated that they have not found any suicide note during a preliminary search of his room and his belongings. Police are verifying the mobile phone and also CCTV footage to rule out any foul play.
Father Mahesh D’Souza, was revered by the devotees and his students for his friendly nature.

According to Udupi Diocese, 36-year-old Mahesh D’Souza hailed from Moodubelle and was ordained as a priest in 2013. Formerly, he served as the assistant parish priest at Milagres Mount Rosary Church in Kallianpur.
It was in 2016, that Mahesh D’Souza was posted at Shirva as an assistant parish priest and the Principal of the Don Bosco School Shirva.
