Reminding us of the horrifying Burari’s mass suicide case, a similar one has come to the light where a man first shot four of his family members and then allegedly shot himself as well. The incident reportedly happened on the outskirts of Gundlupet in Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka, early on Friday.

The people who have been found dead include elderly parents of the man, his son and wife. Initial probe suggest that all five died with bullet injuries at an open space off Ooty road. The man who murdered his family before commiting suicide has been identified as Om Prakash, a native of Mysuru district.

As mentioned in the reports, police officials suspect the matter to be a mass suicide case. Though no specific reason could be cited as of now, officials told that the family booked a room at Nandi lodge in Gundlupet, some 60 kms away from Mysuru district late on Thursday. But the incident happened one km away from the lodge near a private school.

Police has registered a case and probe is on.
