Kalburgi: A man, in his thirties, was brutally beaten by the locals after he allegedly tried to rape a 5-year-old kid in Kalaburgi city on Tuesday morning.
The accused was tied to an electrical pole in a half-naked condition and was beaten by an angry mob.
Sources have informed the media that the accused took the kid to a deserted place in a complex located just beside Goa Hotel.
When the accused tried to molest her, the kid started shouting loudly. After hearing the kid shouting and crying, locals rushed to the spot and rescued kid.
The mob then manhandled the accused and later tied him to an electric pole, undressed his pant and shirt and beat him badly.
Later, the mob-handed over the accused to Brahmapur police.
It needs to be mentioned here that rapes have only significantly increased in our country. Recently on 21st of February a girl Child, 16 years old, from Karnataka for Odisha delivered a baby girl. Later it was found out that she was allegedly raped in her home town. Rape incidents have only intensified in our country.
Even if we take into account the situation of our minors. It’s still pathetic, minors suffer this gruesome crime more comparatively to adults
