The Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights will investigate the case against the invigilator for denying bathroom break to class 10 student during the exam. In reaction to it, the student was forced to excrete inside the exam hall on Tuesday.

The student was appearing for the chemistry examination and has told the teacher about stomach ache thereby seeking permission for using the bathroom. But the invigilator refused the request. The student was turned weak and couldn’t write the examination, the statement by commission said.

It also reported that the information regarding the incident was conveyed by the invigilator to the head of the examination. The commission will now take action against the invigilator on the pretext that the student had to face mental trauma and couldn’t write the exam properly after the incident, added the statement.

The commission said that in a statement earlier they had made clear that the students appearing for an exam should be provided with facilities for drinking water. Also, the students should be given the facility to use the washroom under the vigilance of the invigilator.

The student’s father has earlier registered a complaint against the invigilator to the police regarding the incident.

The father told “He is already stressed, we do not want to increase it further.

As per the parent’s request, the police will now probe the matter after examinations will end.
