In a shocking incident, the father of a Kerala girl who rose to fame after her amazing dance video during a temple festival at Nooranad went viral on social media was found dead in on the premises of SAT Hospital, Thiruvananthpuram, Kerala.
39-year-old Chandra Babu, resident of Nooranadu in Alappuzaha district hung himself as he was unable to meet his daughter’s medical treatment expenses. His daughter, Devu Chandana was undergoing treatment for a neurological disorder.
As per the sourced, treatment was very costly and Chandrababu was in desperate financial help. Devu was brought to the SAT hospital from Adoor General Hospital a week ago in a critical condition Chandrababu and his wife Rejitha were with Devu in the hospital.
The police have suspected financial difficulties and the daughter’s health condition might have prompted Chandrababu to take the extreme step.
According to the doctor of the hospital, Devu Chandana was being given free treatment at the hospital. He also said the hospital will refund Rs 26,000 the family had to spend on medicines procured from outside.
The decision of refund was already conveyed to the deceased.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu’s body has been kept at the mortuary. Further procedures will be done only after the coronavirus test.
