In a bizarre incident, a mentally challenged man suspected to be from Bihar bit nearly 22 people including six people on the busy GT road on Saturday. The drama led to vehicular traffic standstill for 40 odd minutes as the police tried to bring the situation under control.

It was around afternoon, the bare-bodied man who was wearing trousers suddenly started pelting stones at bikers and pedestrians. When he was approached by the man turned more violent and he started biting at will. 

A fight then broke out with locals pelting stones at him and they also tied the man to a lamppost and landed blows. The man was saved but he bit at least three policemen before they could handcuff him.

This was not the end, at Howrah District Hospital he attacked more cops and nurses. He was then moved to Pavlov Institute in Howrah. The doctor said a prescription with a list of neuro drugs and name Lalit Choudhury was found in his pocket.
