Manali: An alive female patient suffering from coronavirus in Lahaul was declared dead. The woman was being treated at Teghubehar Covid Center in Kullu and was declared dead in the report released by the Health Department, which then caused a stir in the entire area.

When this report was received by the patient’s family members, they responded to the Lahaul-Spiti Health Department. After investigation, it was found that the update to announce the woman was done by Keylong.

The corona-positive woman from Gondla area of Lahaul was referred to Nerchouk on 19 November, but upon reaching Kullu, her health deteriorated and her family members admitted her to the Covid Center in Teghubehar, Kullu.

Rajeev Gulepa, a relative of the woman, said that she is undergoing treatment at Tegubehar Covid Center and her health is normal. It is shameful to release such a report.

He said that such false news spread in the context of her aunt has upset everyone. On the other hand, Lahaul-Spiti Executive CMO Dr. M.L. Bandhu said, this report was released by the hospital management from the online portal, which is updated from Shimla and then from the district.
