Sanjay Kumar Jha, Water Resources Department Minister in the Nitish Kumar government has appealed the Ministry of Human Resource Development to conduct the JEE Mains examination in the Maithili language as well.
The Member of Legislative Council took to Twitter to share his thoughts. He wrote, “after adding the Maithili language in the 8th Schedule, UPSC recognised the same and many students took it up as their optional subject”.
https://t.co/EKSCDPDq6D

“I request the HRD Ministry to respect the regional languages; just like Gujarati, Maithili must also be added as the JEE examination language choice,” he added.
