Iran resident Reza Parastesh popular for his uncanny resemblance to football star Lionel Messi, was recently accused of conning 23 women into sleeping with him by claiming that he was Messi himself. After the accusations went viral on the internet, Parastesh quashed the claims on his Instagram page.
The statement by Parastesh comes a day after various news portals reported that Parastesh claimed himself to be Messi and conned women into sleeping with him.
“The news is spreading in the Muslim countries and it has been a disaster. I was severely harassed because it released the whole world on me. My family also harassed me, but the people’s attack was more influential,” Parastesh said.
“Do not believe it, it is not true. I am going to do everything to fight this legally and make sure my name is cleared,” the Iranian Messi said.
The Tehran-based part-time model released a video on his official Instagram page, claiming that he has not committed any crime.
