The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is India’s top honour in the film industry. Last night, the Directorate of Film Festivals revealed the winners for the year 2023. The ceremony for the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival 2023 took place in Mumbai, and several Hollywood celebrities participated.
Monday at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival, ‘The Kashmir Files’ earned the ‘Best Film’ award, and Anupam Kher got the award for Most Versatile Actor of the Year. Alia Bhatt accepted on behalf of her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, the Best Actor award for ‘Brahmastra’ in addition to earning the Best Actress award for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’
The award for the Most Promising Performer went to actor-director Rishab Shetty for his Kannada film “Kantara.” Varun Dhawan won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actor for his performance in the film “Bhediya.” Rupali Ganguly’s television series ‘Anupamaa’ won the Television Series of the Year award at the event.
The veteran actress Rekha was honoured for her “Outstanding Contribution To The Film Industry.” She was observed conversing with Alia, who was dressed in a white saree, while wearing a golden saree. They kissed, embraced, and posed for paparazzi photographs. Hariharan, a popular singer and musician, was honoured for his “Outstanding Contribution To The Music Industry.”
