List of politicians called up as team Narendra Modi all set to take oath today

The to-be ministers have been invited to the PM's home at 5 pm, an hour before the swearing-in ceremony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be sworn in on 30 May for a second consecutive term following his BJP’s whopping victory in the Lok Sabha elections 2019. BJP chief Amit Shah has dialled to leaders who will be ministers in the new government.

The to-be ministers have been invited to the PM’s home at 5 pm, an hour before the swearing-in ceremony.

According to reports some of the MPs who have received the call include:

  • Nirmala Sitharaman
  • Smriti Irani
  • Kiren Rijiju
  • Ravi Shankar Prasad
  • Piyush Goyal
  • Prakash Javadekar
  • Ramdas Athavala
  • Sadananda Gowda
  • Arjun Meghwal
  • Jitender Singh
  • Suresh Angadi
  • Babul Supriyo
  • Kailash Chowdhury
  • Prahlad Joshi
  • G Kishan Reddy
  • Ashwini Chaubey

Mr Jaitley, who was Finance Minister in the BJP-led government, earlier wrote in his letter to the PM: “I am writing to you to formally request you that I should be allowed a reasonable time for myself, my treatment and my health and therefore, not be a part of any responsibility, for the present, in the new government.”

Amit Shah is also set to be a minister in the Modi regime.

The Shiv Sena has put forward Arvind Sawant’s name as its nominee. The Sena’s Sanjay Raut said it had been decided that there would be one minister from each ally.
