As the cops in Madhya Pradesh are exhausted with their duties in coronavirus pandemic, they have requested for a leave of absence, but there is one such application that took our attention. The leave application of a constable in Rewa, however, has left people amazed by it.

In the application, the constable, a driver with the Special Armed Forces (SAF) in Rewa, says he needs six days of leave to be able to take care of his buffalo. He also speaks about his mother, who he says is unwell, but devotes two sentences for that.

The rest of the letter talks about love for his buffalo and how it is ‘time to repay’, reported The Times of India.

“My mother has not been keeping well for the past two months. Also, I have a buffalo at home which is very dear to me. The buffalo delivered a calf recently and there is no one to take care of them,” the cop is quoted as saying by the news daily.

The Madhya Pradesh cop goes on to add: “It was buffalo’s milk that helped me clear police recruitment. She has been with me through thick and thin. Now, it is my time to repay,” the cop reportedly wrote in the letter.

“I request you to please grant me six days of casual leave so that I can get my mother treated and look after my buffalo as well,” the cop says.

The report added that all leave applications are being taken seriously. “The reason could be anything. If someone has asked me for leave, I never object,” the cop’s officer tells TOI
