Bhopal: A migrant worker who was kept in quarantined in MP’s Chhatarpur district has complained to the police that his 46-year-old wife has eloped with her lover.

Police has therefore filed a missing person complaint and is looking for the mother of three.

The 50-year-old migrant worker returned to his village Munderi on May 19. He worked at construction sites in Delhi and his family lived with him till around one and a half  years ago, when his wife returned home with the children.

The migrant worker came back on a Shramik Special train and was in middle of his 14 day quarantine, when he had to go around looking for his wife.

The man said he quarantined himself on the first floor of his house and his wife and kids lived on the ground floor. On May 24, when he woke up, he found out his room locked from outside. When he managed to get out, his wife was nowhere to be seen and the kids didn’t have a clue, either, according to his complaint.

The man wrapped gamcha around his face and went house to house to look for his wife.

Madhya Pradesh’s Covid-19 hotspot Indore saw another 56 cases of the coronavirus disease on Sunday, taking the overall tally in the district to 3,064.

As many as 116 people have died of the disease in Indore.

According to the Union health ministry, the total number of cases in Madhya Pradesh is 6,371. While 3,267 people have been cured, 281 deaths have been reported so far.
