Madhya Pradesh: Will state assembly see its first transgender MLA from Chambal?

Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, which has reached its peak and voting is scheduled for November 28 is likely to witness some interesting developments from Chambal division. For the 230 members’ state assembly, total 2,932 candidates are contesting and 1,102 are independent contestants. However, Ambah & Porsa (SC) constituency of Morena district is witnessing an exciting contest, as an independent candidate, Neha Kinar is giving a tough fight to all the other candidates of the constituency.

As per the media reports, Neha Kinar’s rallies are witnessing much participation from the constituency voters and regional political analysts have claimed that Neha’s increasing graph of popularity among the voters could dent electoral equations of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Congress and BJP at Ambah & Porsa seat.

Sitting MLA Satyaprakash Sakhwar of BSP, Congress candidate Kamlesh Jatav and BJP’s Gabbar Sakhawar have faced the resentments of voters at Ambah reserved seat in previous times.

Political analysts also felt that all six seats of Morena district mainly Morena, Dimani and Ambah (SC) are witnessing close fights. Currently, BSP holds Dimani and Amabh (SC), while Morena is held by BJP.
