Four people lost their lives while over 30 people were injured after a bus fell into 60-feet-deep gorge on Mumbai-Pune highway on Monday morning.

In a highly tragic incident, four people lost their lives while over 30 people were injured after a bus fell into 60-feet-deep gorge on Mumbai-Pune highway on Monday morning. The incident happened after the bus driver lost the control of his vehicle and skid off the road near Bhot Ghat in the wee hours today.

According to the reports, the accident happened around 5 am when the driver lost control over the vehicle near Garmal point turn in Raigarh district.

A two-year-old child was among those killed on the spot A Devdoot rescue team of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), and personnel from highway police, Khopoli police and members of the public pitched in to assist in the rescue operations.

The injured has been rushed to the nearby hospitals.
