Maharashtra: Labourer thrashes contractor black-blue for not giving Diwali bonus

There is a tradition of giving bonus to employees in the country on the occasion of Diwali. Companies often give gifts and bonuses to their employees on demand. However, an incident has come to light from Aurangabad in Maharashtra, where a labourer thrashed his boss and broke his tooth for not granting him Diwali bonus.

The incident took place in the MIDC area of ​​Chikal police station on Friday night. A 50-year-old labour contractor identified as Bhima Chandradev Joshi, was allegedly kidnapped in Uttaranagri at around 5:30 PM on October 26. A lawsuit has been registered in the police station in this regard against the accused Balu Pathare.

According to the reports, accused Balu Pathare demanded a Diwali bonus from the owner Bhima Joshi, but Joshi refused, saying that he did not have the money. Joshi said he will give him bonus once he gets money.

This triggered a debate between the two and in this sequence, Balu got angry and started beating Joshi. He punched Joshi and broke his tooth.

A criminal case has been registered in this regard and the case is being investigated by the police.
