Major accident on Lucknow- Agra expressway, one dead, several injured

A major accident of a Volvo passenger bus full of people took place at the the Agra-Lucknow expressway earlier today.

As per eye witnesses who saw the accident- the bus turtled due to which one person has at least died and several have been injured. As per the police available at the right time, the injured have been taken to hospital for treatment and they are making sure the police is allowing the travel to go smoothly.

The Volvo bus which met with an accident earlier today was travelling from Lucknow to Agra. The injured passengers are being treated in a nearby hospital. Though the bolo I bus accident took place under the Dauki village police station in Fatehabad area near Agra, police forces from other regions of Agra and villages came in immediately to extend their support and helping hand.

The same Lucknow-Agra expressway also witnessed another major accident earlier this month of January, where Two persons, including a woman, was killed and five others were injured when a private sleeper bus met with an accident as it rammed into a truck while overtaking it near milestone 44 on Agra-Lucknow expressway in Firozabad around 1 am. The bus was heading towards Raebareli from Gurugram. The truck driver fled from the spot after the accident, police said.

The people who died in this horrible accident earlier this month were identified as Kulkanti (32) and assistant driver Avdhesh (40, both hailed from Raebareli. The mishap took place around 1 am under Matsena police jurisdiction, said police. Station house officer Vinay Misra said the sleeper bus from Raebareli, was carrying 35 passengers, and as it sped the driver lost control while trying to overtake the truck
