After ‘Balma’, another song ‘Hello Hello’ from the upcoming film Pataakha was released on September 5, featuring Bollywood actress-dancer Malaika Arora.
The song, written by Gulzar, choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and performed by Rekha Bhardwaj, features Malaika with her desi avatar. The fans may be back on the dance floor with Malaika’s yet another classic number, with Chaiyya Chaiyya, Munni Badnaam Hui and Anarkali Disco Chali, in her back catalogue.
The lyrics of ‘Hello Hello’ song include references to Whatsapp and late night phone calls between sweethearts. “Aaja network ke bhitar keh ke hello hello,” Malaika’s ‘character’ sings as she dances in a circus tent and men with rifles stare lecherously at her.
About performing in the song, Malaika said, “Who could refuse a number sung by Rekha ji, written by Gulzar saab with the music being given by Vishal Bhardwaj? And when you have Ganesh choreographing you, there can be nothing better. I was instantly in love with the peppy number.”
Starring Sanya Malhotra, Radhika Madan, Sunil Grover and Vijay Raaz, Pataakha, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, is slated to release on September 28. The film is a comedy-drama about two sisters based on an acclaimed short story written by Charan Singh Pathik.
