If you don’t believe in luck anymore, here is this man who got lucky, not once, not twice, not thrice, but 25 times.
A man from the US state of Virginia has just redefined the meaning of lottery luck.
Raymond Harrington is richer by $1,25,000 after he bought 25 identical lottery tickets for the same drawing and won 25 times.
Harrington visited the Wegnam’s store in Virginia Beach and bought 25 $1 tickets for Virginia Lottery’s July 17 ‘Pick 4’ drawing. And when the results were announced, Harrington was taken aback. Believe it or not, all his 25 tickets turned out to be winning numbers.
Each of his tickets won $5,000, earning him a total prize of $1,25,000. “Something just told me to play 25 times,” said Harrington after winning the lottery.
He now wants to invest his winnings in his sons’ college education.
Back in April, a lottery player, who has always played the same numbers for the last 30 years, won a $1 million prize twice in one day.
Joe B, who hails from Pueblo in Colorado, won two Powerball prizes on March 25. But due to coronavirus restrictions in the US, he claimed his winnings a month after the results were announced.
According to reports, Joe B made an appointment to collect his winnings at one of the lottery company’s drive-through claims offices.
In 2018, Robert Stewart from Edgewater in New Jersey bagged a prize-money of $5 million (Rs 36.2 crores) after winning three lotteries back to back. Fair to say, the man from New Jersey was ‘three times lucky’ and not just third time lucky.
