While the number of novel coronavirus cases in India has increased to 430, the World Health Organization (WHO) on Monday, March 23 praised the measures taken by the Indian government to curb the spread of the COVID-19. Maneka Gandhi revealed important details for dog feeders so that stray dogs and other animals are not left starving amid coronavirus lockdown.
No doubt, that these measures (lockdown) are helping to slow the spread of the virus hence, continuous and effective measures are being taken to isolate, test, treat and track it.
However, due to this lockdown in the wake of growing positive cases of coronavirus, it’s our responsibility to think about a bit for street animals, who are fully dependent on us from water to food.
Maneka Sanjay Gandhi tweeted for animal carers and said, “Any dog feeder can go to their district DCP office in delhi and get a feeder pass. Please start today as only 50 passes are being given per district.”
