Just a month after being sworn in as the minister in the new Manipur government, state health and family welfare minister Langpoklakpam Jayentakumar Singh resigned from his post citing ‘interference’ to his authority.’ The news came into the light that the NPP leader resigned after the copy of his resignation letter was made public yesterday night.

However, CM Biren Singh said he neither received resignation letter nor had any info about the same. Singh was sworn in as the CM of Manipur on March 15 together with eight other ministers, including Jayentakumar.

In the resignation letter, Jayentakumar said that he had been working with “certain visions”. “I may not be able to get (the) visions materialised as expected since there have been so many interferences to my authority…. I am, therefore, taking the step to tender my resignation,” he added. But then, Jayentakumar did not talked about the kind of interferences he was facing.
