Benchmark indices are trading higher in the pre-opening session with Nifty around 10400.
At 09:01 IST, the Sensex was up 432.69 points or 1.24% at 35274.79, and the Nifty was up 111.60 points or 1.08% at 10400.50.
Fitch Ratings has upgraded India-based Reliance Industries Ltd’s (RIL) long-term local-currency issuer default rating (IDR) to ‘BBB+’ from ‘BBB’. The outlook is stable. At the same time, the agency has affirmed RIL’s long-term foreign-currency IDR at ‘BBB-‘ with a stable outlook.
The Petrol price hiked by 21 paise at 80.13/L and Diesel price by 17 paise at 80.19/L in Delhi today, reported CNBC-TV18.

Century Plyboards has posted Q4 net profit at Rs 37 crore, down 32.1% from Rs 54.5 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue was down 10.5% at Rs 530.2 crore against Rs 592.5 crore.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) shed 15.4% at Rs 67.5 crore, while margin was down at 12.7 percent, reported CNBC-TV18.
The lender reported net profit at Rs 143.8 crore for the quarter ended March 2020 against loss of Rs 1,985.2 crore in same period last year, following sharp slide in provisions.
Gross NPA stood at 16.8 percent against 19.5 percent QoQ while net NPA was at 5.5 percent against 6.3 percent QoQ. NII reduced 2.9 percent at Rs 1,254 crore against Rs 1,291.9 crore YoY.
The company's net profit rose 19.51 percent to Rs 427.69 crore in the year ended March 2020 as against Rs 357.86 crore during the previous year ended March 2019.
Nifty was up 77.60 points or 0.75% at 10366.50. About 1487 shares have advanced, 742 shares declined, and 95 shares are unchanged.
Reliance Industries, Bajaj Finance, ITC, SBI and IndusInd Bank are the most active shares on the BSE.
Sensex was up 266.27 points or 0.76% at 35108.37, and the Nifty was up 78.60 points or 0.76% at 10367.50. About 1001 shares have advanced, 213 shares declined, and 41 shares are unchanged.
