With effect from January 16, 2023, Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices of all its vehicles. In a corporate filing, the automaker disclosed that the prices of all its vehicles had increased by approximately 1.1%. The company had previously announced its intention to increase car prices in early December 2022.

Previously, the company stated that the price increase was necessitated by rising costs due to inflation and new regulatory requirements. The most recent filing now includes both a price increase amount and a date.

At the ongoing Auto Expo 2023, the automaker recently previewed its EV plans for the Indian market and debuted two new SUVs. The eXV SUV concepts foreshadowed the automaker’s first electric vehicle for the Indian market, scheduled for 2025, while the company also unveiled the highly anticipated 5-Door Jimny SUV and the new Fronx subcompact SUV.
