BSP Chief Mayawati has urged a return to ballot papers, expressing concerns over the reliability of electronic voting machines (EVMs).
In a Hindi post on X, she proposed reverting to traditional ballot methods or at least counting VVPAT slips to ensure vote accuracy.
Mayawati deems the Election Commission’s time-related justifications insufficient, asserting that increased public trust in elections warrants the additional hours required for counting.
