MBOSE SSLC 10th Result 2020 declared; 50.31% qualify, lowest pass percentage in last five years

A total of 51,337 students registered for the exam of which 25,195 have cleared. The overall pass percentage is 50.31%, lowest in five years.

New Delhi: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has announced the Class 10th or Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) result today on July 20, 2020, on the official website at megresults.nic.in. A total of 51,337 students registered for the exam of which 25,195 have cleared. The overall pass percentage is 50.31%, lowest in five years.

Among boys, 49.39% have passed and among girls 51.04% students have qualified. In 2019, the pass percentage of students was recorded at 55.72 per cent.

East Khasi Hills has secured the highest pass percentage and 68.95% of the total students from this region have passed the Class 10th exam.

Students can check the MBOSE Class 10th result from the official website at megresults.nic.in and results.mbose.in by entering their roll number and date of birth.

MBOSE SSLC 10th Result 2020 toppers:

Chetna Bose from Tura has bagged the first rank with 568 marks followed by Sainava Modak from Whilong who secured 565 marks and Aninamdapisha P Byrsat from Shillong who got 561 marks.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the MBOSE board has released the entire result copy on its website.

Meanwhile, the mark sheets and certificates will be issued in due course of time and the same will be intimated to all concerned, MBOSE has said. Generally, students visit their schools and the board offices on the result day to get their results.

There will be no display of results in MBOSE Office, Tura/Shillong and even in the examination centres in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the release mentioned. The result was usually announced in May every year but was postponed due to COVID-19 and the following lockdown this year.

MBOSE SSLC 10th Result 2020: How to check

  • Step 1: Visit the official website- mbose.in
  • Step 2: Click on the download result link
  • Step 3: Enter registration number, roll number
  • Step 4: Result will appear on the screen
  • Step 5: Download it, and take a print out for further reference.

A total of 72.24 per cent students cleared the HSSLC exam this year. In 2019, in the SSLC exam, a total of 76.56 per cent students passed with boys outperforming girls with a pass percentage of 77.94 per cent.
