Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Mangal which is a space drama released on August 15 that is on Independence Day.
The film which stars Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari received rave reviews from the critics and the actors are getting appreciated for their respective roles.
On the first day of release, the film has collected a hefty amount and is off to a fantastic start. The film has minted Rs 29.16 cr thereby emerging as biggest opener of Akshay Kumar so far.

The film released in around 3000 screens across India and as it released on a holiday the film got much boost. This year Akshay Kumar has returned to the 70 mm with an army of heroines. Jagan Shakti’s directorial venture also stars Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen in pivotal roles.
