In the past few months a lot of television and Bollywood celebs have turned to the streaming apps for work. Amazon Prime and Netflix have now got original content featuring some of the top names from Bollywood and television. Mohit Raina and Jacqueline Fernandez will now follow suit of some of their colleagues and star in a Netflix original.
Netflix had previously announced a series of Netflix originals India. It had piqued the interest levels of people as everyone was left wondering what all directors and actors would be featuring in them. One of the those films ‘ Mrs Serial Killer’ will be helmed by Shirish Kunder and produced by Farah Khan. Starring in the lead roles will be actress Jacqueline Fernandez and joining her will be Devon Ka Dev Mahadev actor, Mohit Raina. Mohit Raina had last appeared in the film Uri and was also seen in the web-series Kaffir. According to sources close to the project, Mohit is set to play a character with grey shades. Farah Khan in a statement had said how Mrs Serial Killer, would have strong content not just for Indian audiences, but also for audiences abroad.
It is surprising indeed for Jacqueline to collaborate with Farah as the former dated the latter’s brother Sajid Khan. Sajid Khan was named by a number of women as an abuser in India’s #MeToo movement and is not working on any projects in Bollywood. Shirish, had last directed the short film Kriti in 2016 and before that he directed the Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha starred Joker, which flopped miserably at the box-office.
