Flood-like situation is prevailing in several parts of Madhya Pradesh bringing daily life to to a standstill. The heavy showers even forced the villagers to resort to superstitious solutions such as divorcing a frog couple.
Going by the reports, two frogs married by the Bhopal villagers on July 19 to please Rain God during drought-like conditions, have now been forcefully divorced in order to pray Rain God for stopping heavy rains in the state.
Members of Om Shiv Seva Shakti Mandal in Bhopal divorced the frog on Wednesday keeping in view the recent weather conditions of the state.

On Tuesday the India Meteorological Department had issued an alert for as many as 32 districts.
According to state MET department sources, no respite can be expected from the rains in the next three to four days, however, the intensity of the rains may decrease.
