Uttar Pradesh MP Laxmikant Bajpayee criticized the disparity in medicine costs under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, urging the government to mandate uniform prices under existing laws.
Bajpayee emphasized the economic impact on vulnerable patients and the influence of companies on public healthcare. Immediate intervention was requested to align medicine pricing with public health intentions.
Haryana MP Rekha Sharma advocated for the acknowledgment of care work, emphasizing the invaluable contributions of Anganwadi and ASHA workers. She called for a societal mindset change, encouraging shared responsibility in caregiving roles, and recognition of the care economy as a formal sector. Rajasthan MP Chunnilal Garasiya urged the prioritization of tribal regions in Rajasthan under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, a comprehensive tribal development program, emphasizing its potential to enhance tribal communities’ welfare.
