Setting to rest all speculations about his health, Samajwadi patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav visited the party headquarters on Sunday afternoon to meet workers who had gathered there to celebrate his 82nd birthday.
This was Mulayam’s first public appearance in Lucknow in the pandemic. He was accompanied by SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav.
The SP office had been gaily decorated with balloons and posters greeting the veteran leader on the occasion.
The area around Mulayam Singh’s residence on the same road was also decorated with poster greetings on his birthday.
Party workers reached the SP headquarters in large numbers to meet their leader.
Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Mulayam Singh and wished him a long and healthy life.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had also wished him earlier the day.
