In a sudden turn of events, a massive fire broke out at the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) building in Mumbai’s Bandra. The incident happened on Monday afternoon at about 3:15 PM. At least 100 people are believed to be trapped in the terrace of the building and an operation to rescue them are presently ongoing.

As per the early reports, as many as fourteen fire engines including a robot van and an ambulance have been deployed at the spot. The fire is mainly restricted to the third and fourth floors of the nine-storey building.

As of now, there are no reports of anyone getting hurt in the incident. The incident comes a day after a person was killed after a fire broke out at a four-storey building near the Taj Mahal Palace hotel in south Mumbai’s Colaba.
