Mumbai special court sentenced a father to life imprisonment for sexually assaulting his minor daughter multiple times. The accused was arrested after the victim and her mother gave testimony of the incident after which a case was registered in the matter under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses act (POSCO).
As per a national daily report, the father sexually assaulted her daughter for the first time on May 17, 2017, when her mother had gone to the hospital with her younger brother. At the time of the incident, her two sisters were also at home. Her father asked her sisters to go out of the room and then he sexually assaulted her.
Post assaulting her daughter, the man threatened her not to disclose it to anyone. The girl narrated the ordeal to her mother and she confronted her husband but he brutally assaulted her.
The girl’s mother then took her to the police station and lodged a complaint and he was arrested on the same day and also the court had denied bail to him.
