Time and Route for Mumbai-Revas Ferry Service
The Mumbai Jalvahatuk Audyogic Sanstha Maryadit, an association of ferry operators, has announced that three services will begin operation at 6 a.m. on September 1, 2023 between Bhaucha Dhakka (ferry terminal) in south Mumbai and Revas.
One-way fares between Bhaucha Dhakka and Revas are 100 rupees per passenger and 200 rupees per two-wheeled vehicle. The organisation that represents ferry operators will implement additional weekend services based on passenger demand, according to a representative of the organisation. In addition, additional services will be provided if demand increases during the Ganpati festival.
The ferry service between Bhaucha Dhakka and Mora will operate throughout the year, whereas the service to Revas is suspended during the initial monsoon months due to adverse sea conditions. The suspension of ferry services in June was owing to rough seas.
Mumbai, the metropolis of Maharashtra, is home to numerous cultural and tourist attractions. Alibaug, a small town located just a brief ferry ride from Mumbai, is a popular tourist and local destination.
Alibaug (alternatively spelt Alibag) is a minor coastal town in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. This region is characterised by its beaches, camping, and scenic surroundings. Alibaug, located approximately 100 kilometres from Mumbai, is a popular weekend getaway for Mumbai residents.
Additionally, a new outbreak of violence has disrupted the peace in Manipur, leaving two people dead and seven others wounded.
Alibaug, also known as “Mini Goa,” is renowned for water sports such as parasailing, banana boating, jet skiing, and speed boating.
The quickest method to reach Alibaug from Mumbai is by ferry, which takes only one hour compared to three hours by car.
Between Gateway of India and Ferry Wharf (Mumbai) and Mandwa (Alibaug), ferry service is provided by different companies.
