Mumbai South-Central is one of the 17 constituencies in Maharashtra to go on polls in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2019 on Monday, April 29. In the 2019 General elections, Shiv Sena has given the ticket to incumbent MP Rahul Ramesh Shewale, while the Congress party has fielded Eknath Mahadeo Gaikwad.

The Maharashtra Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will take place in Phases 1,2,3 and 4 from April 11 to April 29. While voting in Maharashtra for General Elections will be held on April 11, April 18, April 23 and April 29, the counting of votes will be held on May 23.

Winning margin in 2014: 1,38,180

Runner up name, party: Eknath Mahadeo Gaikwad, Congress

Number of voters in 2014: 7,68,627

Percentage of votes polled in 2014: 53.09%

Notification to be issued on April 2

In Phase IV of the voting for the 17th Lok Sabha, elections will take place in 71 Lok Sabha constituencies across 9 states. Voting for this phase will take place on April 29.

The turnout in the last general election in 2014 was more than 66%, up from 45% in 1951 when the first election was held.

The vote count will be taken up simultaneously in the state on May 23 as per the schedule announced by Election Commission.
