After a hiatus of two years, the University of Mumbai has resumed its traditional method of administering semester exams. In addition to having to write their tests in physical form, students have been left apprehensive about the delay in receiving their MU exam hall tickets as well as the exam centres.

Students who are unclear about the MU semester exam schedule have been flooding social media with their demands for clarification. Several students enrolled in the engineering programme at the institution have asserted that the schedule for the upcoming semester exams, which are slated to begin on December 8, 2022, has not yet been published.

On November 29, 2022, the LLB students were required to take their exam, notwithstanding the chaos that was produced by the delay in the MU exam time table, hall ticket, and exam centre. Reports indicate that a significant number of MU law students who were in their last year and were enrolled in semester 5 did not obtain the hall tickets. According to a story from the TOI, however, they were able to participate in the examination following a last-minute scramble at the institution to produce a provisional admit card based on the permanent registration number.

Students have reported that the delay in providing hall tickets has generated additional complications for them, which is problematic considering that they were already anxious about the physical examinations. Because the institution had not distributed hall tickets even a day before the exam, several people even speculated that the university would postpone the exams. Because of the widespread COVID-19 outbreak, the university administered its semester exams through an online platform.

According to the research, several of the principals who were in charge of MU colleges were unaware of the fact that their institutions served as exam centres.

“Once again, Mumbai University is messing with the careers of its students.

Exam in understood English will begin on December 8th.

“Still the exam forms are not filled, today students are urged to fill the forms, and many students are getting error messages to fill forms,” a student posted on Twitter. “many students are getting error messages to fill forms.”
