Mumbai Water Shortage: In some areas of Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a 24-hour water supply disruption.

There will be a water supply cut in N Ward, S Ward, and T Ward, according to a report by Mid-day. The water supply cut will last from 11:30 am on May 24 until 11:30 am on May 25.

Water supply disruptions along Mulund Goregaon Link Road (GMLR) are attributed to the work of diverting an existing 1200 mm-diameter water main.

The 1200 mm diameter is causing a delay in the construction of the GMLR flyover, so the diversion is necessary.

Fortis Hospital is expected to divert the 1200 mm diameter to Udyog Shetra, Mulund (west).

GMLR is undertaking this diversion project on behalf of the water supply authority in the region.
