Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood music composer Khayyam passed away at a private hospital here on Monday night following a brief illness, his aide said. He was 92.
“He breathed his last at Sujoy Hospital, Juhu, at 9.30 p.m. He was admitted there since last few days for age related illness,” his spokesperson Pritam Sharma told IANS
Mohammed Zahur Khayyam, who only went by his last name in his music career, is known for his melodious music in Bollywood hits like “Kabhi Kabhie”, “Noorie”, “Bazaar”, and “Razia Sultan”.
