A seven-year-old girl who was travelling from Lucknow to Mumbai in GoAir flight with her father was declared brought dead at the government medical collect and hospital after being rushed for an emergency landing at Nagpur airport at 7:25 am on Tuesday.
The girl Ayushi Punvasi Prajapati, resident of Seheri Khat, Siddarth Nagar suffered from cardiac arrest mid-air and sadly died during the flight only.
The exact cause of Ayushi, the seven-year-old girl is now known but it is being said by GMCH officials that the viscera samples have been preserved to ascertain the cause of death more properly. But it is being said that the main reason for the girl to collapse was a cardiac arrest triggered by the high altitude.
As per the GoAir officials, they are saying that the girl was anaemic, and the father had not disclosed this, else the girl would not have been allowed to the board the flight itself. The girl has haemoglobin of below 8 gm- 2.5grams and that’s the reason she had a cardiac arrest in the middle of the flight. They were on their way to Mumbai for treatment of the same, as per the GoAir officials.
